🔵 BIJBOL 🔵
▫️WHAT IS IT?
Bijbol is an alternative sport created by Tere Miña (@terebijbol). It is a pre-sport, educational, coeducational, inclusive and contact-based activity.
▫️HOW IS IT PLAYED?
The aim is to score as many goals as possible from any position or game situation by sending a giant ball into the opposing goal. Players are not allowed to hold the ball, there are no goalkeepers, and entering the goal areas is prohibited.
The ball can be struck using any part of the body. This encourages participation and helps pupils develop technical skills associated with football, volleyball and basketball. In addition, the use of a giant ball increases the contact surface, making it easier to keep the game flowing and encouraging the involvement of all pupils.
▫️WHAT DOES IT AIM TO DEVELOP?
Bijbol aims to develop fundamental movement skills, Olympic values and social skills.
▫️PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Last week, we had the opportunity to deliver a teaching unit based on this alternative sport with pupils from the Cristóbal Colón Cooperative School in Talavera de la Reina.
Year groups: from Year 5 of Primary Education to Year 10 of Secondary Education, with the corresponding curricular adaptations.
This was the result 📹
