Do we only play at an early age?
The answer is clear: no. Age is just a number, and this was demonstrated last Saturday with students from the Primary Education degree programme at UCJC.
During Workshop 1, we explored two key concepts: Game-Based Learning and gamification.
First, both concepts were explained in detail and practical examples from Primary Education were presented. Then, of course, it was time to put theory into practice.
In this case, Game-Based Learning was used to carry out an initial assessment of university students’ prior knowledge in the subjects The Human Body: Structure and Function and Nutrition and Physical Activity.
How was it organised?
Two game boards were designed using Canva, the class was divided into groups of five, and the activity began.
PLAYING = ENJOYMENT = GREATER MOTIVATION = BETTER CONTENT CONSOLIDATION
